With less than 3 weeks to go to Gardeners’ World Live, work is well underway at Stanford Hall.

August 11, 2021

The patients have made great progress constructing the shed, bug hotel and palisade fencing during their HT sessions from recycled rubbish found around the unit, hence ‘Make Do And Mend’. The greenhouse is filling up nicely with plants grown from seed by patients again during their HT sessions. The brassicas are currently being protected in an adhoc shelter to keep protected from the destructive Cabbage White Butterflies. These Brassicas will form part of the vegetable planting of the garden which will be supplemented by other plants, including, Beech hedging, trees and further ornamental sensory planting.
