CEO, Jamie Crisp, recently attended the Veterans Foundation Veterans Foundation 10th anniversary dinner. HighGround are proud recipients of funding from the Foundation over many years, Jamie was honoured to have dinner with and meet Princess Anne, the Princess Royal.

Some evenings stay with you long after you’ve left the room.

And last Thursday was most certainly one of these.

Last week I had the privilege of attending the Veterans Foundation’s 10th Anniversary celebration at the Honourable Artillery Company in London.
It was an evening that reflected just how far the Veterans Foundation has come over the past decade. To see so many charities, partners and supporters gathered together was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when people share a common purpose – improving the lives of our veterans and their families.
It was a privilege to hear from Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, whose unwavering support for the Armed Forces community continues to inspire. Listening to Simon Weston CBE and Mark Ormrod MBE speak so openly about resilience, service and recovery was equally moving. Their stories are a reminder that while military service may end, the journey beyond it often brings new challenges that require continued support.
As CEO of HighGround, I see every day the difference that organisations like the Veterans Foundation make. Funding is often spoken about in financial terms, but behind every grant is a person rebuilding confidence, rediscovering purpose, finding employment, improving their wellbeing or simply believing in themselves again.
The Veterans Foundation has become much more than a grant maker. It has become a cornerstone of the UK veterans’ charity sector, enabling organisations of every size to deliver meaningful and lasting impact where it matters most.
