Last week saw No.53 in the residential rural weeks, and fantastic group of serving personnel. With significant career length (a total of 223 years!) it was destined to be a week of insightful questions, deep engagement and a good deal of learning by us and them.

We were delighted to have new(ish) Trustee Charles Bennet join the group for 24 hrs which have him a very useful insight into the work of HighGround helping to inform his role. Sarah Ferns, Membership and Relations Manager of The CLA also joined group for a day which gave her a first hand insight into the the work of HighGround and will strengthen our relationship with that organisation. We are delighted to be lifetime members and have already made use of the veterans initiative in helping beneficiaries with work experience and employment.

Evening speakers were Jim Holland of Carma Earth and Steve Tompkins who owns  Artemis Rural Land Management. Our relationship with all these organisations serves to embed HighGround further in the rural sector and build relationships that help beneficiaries through funding, training and employment opportunities.
