Patients benefit from workshop therapy.

With the Covid pandemic still affecting our daily lives it has been good therapy for both myself and the patients to get into the workshop and to get stuck into building various elements of the garden. More pictures will follow in due course but suffice to say we have nearly finished building a bespoke recycled pallet shed, a palisade fence and also a bug hotel is in progress as well as working on the block paving.

The journey of this garden is far more than just the finished product, the progression is always in tandem with the rehabilitation of our patients, whether their sessions have been working on purely physical tasks or as a way to get a bit of headspace and to concentrate on something other than problems by getting stuck in and building in the workshop is great therapy for us all.

We have already started growing plants for the garden, notably Sweet peas kindly donated to us by Easton Walled Garden. This year may still not be back to normal but having projects and things to look forward to can make things feel a little bit better.
