Apothecary Plant Project

An opportunity to work with patients to research plants with healing properties grown at DMRC Stanford Hall.

Our current plants were grown from seed donated by the Chelsea Physic Garden.

We plan eventually to use the information to create signs for each plant. However, the project is also a useful therapeutic tool in itself, enabling patients to research information as a means to develop their knowledge of plants.

It can also be used as an exercise to work on cognitive skills such as memory, information processing and concentration.
