MARK’S STORY: ALL THINGS GOLF

Mark came for support from HighGround in February 2016 after leaving the Royal Navy ten months earlier, having spent six years with them. He wanted to find out more about what the land based sector could offer him in regards to employment and was particularly keen on turf management roles within a Golf Club. He was a keen golfer and felt that this passion could be combined with his practical skills to create a fulfilling career.

HighGround were able to use industry contacts to secure advice, guidance and set up an interview with one of Mark’s local Golf Clubs. He gained employment as a Green Manager less than six weeks after making contact with HighGround.
