Whilst the majority of our fundraising still comes from grant-making trusts and foundations, by starting the Friends of HighGround our aim is to diversify our funding sources to include more corporate and personal donations.
To that end, we have drawn up a Wishlist which we update quarterly. Each item on the Wishlist is currently unfunded, and we hope this will inspire you, our Friends and supporters, to help us raise the funds for all these essential items – we run a pretty tight ship…
Thanks to The Royal Foundation and other generous funders, we have found our first Rural Employment Manager and he will be joining us in 2020.
This month we are in need of these items;
Digital greenhouse thermometer – £15 Extra large kneeler – £25
Dustbuster hand vacuum – £68
It costs the Charity £85 to deliver a 30 minute session to one of DMRC’s patients. In 2020 we will deliver 1,250 sessions and fundraising is under way to ensure we can keep delivering this unique and increasingly well-used service.
When the Friends attend shows to raise awareness of the Charity’s work, we need to give them a ‘show pack’ consisting of a banner, branded tablecloth, collecting tins and Friends Newsletters to make sure our brand and message are consistently and professionally delivered. Each show pack costs the Charity £650 and we are actively seeking financial support for this.
