Our final Rural Week of 2018 – what a year it has been!

We had a full house of 10 HighGrounders including 4 still serving, and Pete Boorn was our Course Manager.
Huge thanks to Becci Parriss from the Royal Marines Charity who drove from CTC on Monday evening to give us a CV
masterclass and to Jon Perkins and Toddy for their excellent evening talks on Tuesday and Wednesday. Our last night
on Thursday spent at the Sir Walter Raleigh in East Budleigh had a very end-of-term feeling…

It was lovely that Nicole who is on our Friends of HighGround Steering Group could join us on the Thursday, and we
are so delighted that The Royal Foundation are now supporting us as we work to roll out our Rural Weeks programme
in 2019.

As always so many thanks to Debbie from South Yeo Farm West, John from Clinton Devon Estates, the RSPB, Glendale
Services, Innis from BASC, Devon Riding, Hi-Line, Sampson Hall, Andy, Nadine, Terry and Ricki, Roger, Nick, James, Glen
and everyone at the College whose collective effort makes us all so welcome.

Last word:
The first-hand accounts from people in the field were invaluable. They gave a true representation of the actual work
entailed rather than this rosy picture we all tend to have. Fantastic!
