A new chapter begins!

In Autumn 2018 we moved from Headley Court to Stanford Hall to start developing a new Horticultural Therapy service for DMRC’s patients.
Jane our Horticultural Therapist and Andy who is HighGround’s Therapeutic Gardens Manager have worked tirelessly over the Winter with the clinical staff, construction team and our many wonderful supporters including Severn Trent Services, VegePod, The Worshipful Company of Glovers, HotBox, our friends at Wyevale Garden Centres Leicester Rowena, Nell Jones at Chelsea Physic Garden, Mark and his team at Hortus Loci, the Andys, and many more and now, we are ready for the Next Chapter!
The greenhouse, built from scratch using the window fittings from the original Foster & Pearson greenhouse at Stanford Hall, will be amazing when it’s finished and thanks to the generosity of the Army Central Fund, Andy has designed some raised beds from WoodBlocx which he and the patients are about to start building as a home for all the seedlings which Jane and her patients are growing in the greenhouse.
Now the greenhouse’s full of seeds, we need somewhere to plant them! Thanks to the Army Central Fund and our friends at WoodBlocx, Andy is building some very smart new raised beds by the Running Track – you can follow his progress below..
