MAJOR ROBIN’S STORY: WHAT DO I DO NEXT?

Robin (Major) Army: Armoured Corps (4TH/7TH RDG) and army legal services based in Swindon. He wanted to attend a HighGround Rural Week to gain a better understanding of the options available to him once his military career came to an end. Working in the land-based sector is his goal, but in a role that would give him autonomy and independence. Robin very much enjoyed being in the countryside and working outdoors. He was on a 3-year FTRS contract but wanted to plan ahead.

After attending HighGround’s Rural Week in June 2016, Robin said that he found the programme to be engaging and useful, identifying a number of roles and vocational opportunities he could potentially do once his career in the military comes to an end. We can happily say that he now has a clearer picture of what steps he should take. HighGround will continue to provide Robin with advice and guidance to support him with his future goals.
