LOST AND ANXIOUS

Rural Week 12 (RXW12) has ended, and now Rural Week 13 is underway. One of the participants from RXW12 had this to say about the Rural Week programme in the hopes of inspiring and informing others about the service:

‘Beginning the Rural Week as WIS, I was anxious, unsure and scared of what direction my future may take.  I felt the course would broaden my views and options as being from Admin background I literally could not see wood for the trees. 

The week did not disappoint, the organisation and companies that came along and showed us the side of Rural employment were outstanding. Anna made me feel very welcome and her knowledge, strength, and compassion for me and the others was commendable. I left the week with the positive attitude that being medically discharged was not the end of my life; it is the beginning of a new one.  

I would like to thank Anna for helping me get to that decision and now the future looks bright.’
