ALLAN AND ARBORICULTURE

Allan is a serving officer in the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment who joined us for a Rural Week in May 2017. Julian Sayers, our Liaison, recently contacted Allan for some feedback and this is what he sent us:

Dear Julian,

Thank you for the follow up and links. The course was a great opportunity and just what I hoped for in providing a reality check across the entire sector and making some options more accessible whilst also allowing me to discount others. The general overview week is excellent and, whilst the majority of attendees had a particular path in mind, everyone should be encouraged to look at all the options with more detailed ‘look at life’ experience opportunities either individually signposted or provided as an add on if funds can be found. In summary a week that gave myself and other attendees the confidence and inspiration to progress into the sector.

Allan has already gained several arboriculture qualifications and when he retires later this month he will be heading down the arboriculture and walling route towards Ranger jobs. Good Luck Allan and please send us a pic!
