On the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain read how Chris is helping HighGround to support airmen and women.

September 15, 2020

I have dedicated my walking for HighGround this month to the RAF past present and future.

I will remember my father Jack Sampson served in both World Wars, in the RFC and then the new RAF. My uncle Charles Alexander Bonner and my brother Frank served in Bomber Command and the RAF Regiment respectively. I am sure they would want me to dedicate this month to all veterans but particularly to those who serve in the RAF today or recently and could benefit from the excellent work of HighGround.

The quote below is from a serving RAF officer who joined us for a Virtual Rural Week in August 2020; this is how HighGround supports today’s airmen and women and we are so grateful for Chris’s fantastic support which enables us to reach more of them:

“I just also wanted to say thank you for offering such a brilliant opportunity, in the form of the Rural Weeks. I think it’s a fantastic thing that you do and I’m really very grateful that you exist, and for the dedication and enthusiasm that you and your team have.”
