We are delighted to welcome Charles Benett to the Board of Trustees.

He brings a wealth of business experience as well as being a Royal Navy veteran and will add further depth and knowledge to the governance of HighGround.

Charles says, “I served as an officer in the Royal Navy for 5 years and greatly enjoyed my time in the service. My civilian career has been principally in financial services, at the intersection of investment, technology and risk, including as Managing Director, Active Equities, at River and Mercantile Asset Management LLP. I believe HighGround provides a great service to the military and veterans communities both with its horticultural occupational therapy provision at DMRC Stanford Hall and with its resettlement Rural Weeks programme and I look forward to using my skills and experience to help the Trustees, staff and volunteers take HighGround forward.”
