Soldiers’ Charity grant for Rural Weeks.

July 05, 2019

The Soldiers’ Charity has granted HighGround £20,000 to fund Army veterans to attend Rural Weeks.

Ray Sargeant served in the Army for 23 years. He is now a National Trust Ranger at Scotney Castle in Kent after attending a Rural Week in 2017.

Brigadier (Ret’d) Robin Bacon, Chief of Staff at The Soldiers’ Charity, added: “The Soldiers’ Charity are delighted to support HighGround’s Rural Weeks. It is imperative for our veterans to see that they have great second careers ahead of themselves once they transition out of the Army. The five days spent at these Rural Weeks help veterans discover how their skills learnt from service can be easily transferred to land-based jobs. We would like to thank HighGround for digging in to help our Army family.”

Everyone at Team HighGround is grateful for the continued support of The Soldiers’ Charity.
