Home Thoughts from Abroad Garden

April 30, 2015

On a sunny Spring morning last week by kind permission of the CO, we welcomed funders and supporters to Headley Court to witness the turning of the first turf of the new garden Home Thoughts from Abroad.

The Home Thoughts garden will be a commemoration of WW1 at Headley Court which Carol and her patients will create, over the next 2 years with the help of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission whose centenary is in 2018, and Sutton & East Surrey Water. There will be lots of changes at Headley Court over the next few years but in the garden, it’s very much ‘business as usual’ and the Home Thoughts garden will evolve in phases. Keith and Steve from the Commission removed all the turf after the turf turning ceremony and now the fun starts!
