HighGround and the Royal Foundation

November 28, 2018

The Royal Foundation is now supporting HighGround. Air C’dre (R’td) Ian Elliott, HighGround Chairman said;

“I am delighted and greatly honoured that The Royal Foundation has offered to work with HighGround. I am very proud of HighGround’s achievements in helping Service Leavers and Veterans start new careers in the land-based sector and the support of The Royal Foundation will, I am certain, prove invaluable as we look to expand our charitable efforts for these deeply deserving individuals.”

The Royal Foundation

Supporting those who have served in the Armed Forces has been a key function of The Royal Foundation since inception. Over the years, through a combination of financial support, convening power and with the ability to draw attention to important issues, The Royal Foundation has supported the development of programmes that are having life changing effects for those who have served their country.

The Royal Foundation’s Veterans Employment Programme is the creation of a portfolio of programmes that strive to support Veterans and Service Leavers in their transition from the Armed Services to civilian life. The programme aims to create employment opportunities for veterans, service leavers and their families. Following the success of ‘Step into Health’ launched in January 2018 by The Duke of Cambridge, The Foundation is piloting schemes within a number of other industries.

The Royal Foundation has recognised the excellent work and achievements of HighGround in supporting veterans and service leavers in seeking employment in the land-based sector and have granted funds to support this programme. HighGround and The Royal Foundation will work together in partnership exploring how the programme can be developed and scaled going forward.  The Royal Foundation is delighted to be working with HighGround and look forward to creating opportunities for Veterans and Service Leavers in the future.
