Final Rural Week of 2018
Last Friday (14th December) we finished our final Rural Week of 2018 at Bicton College.
We are hugely grateful to our generous funders the Soldiers’ Charity, RAF Benevolent Fund, Royal Marines Charity, Veterans’ Foundation and The Royal Foundation, without whom we would not be able to deliver Rural Weeks, and to all the wonderful people who came to speak, share and present at Bicton – we salute you all!
The staff at Bicton have been fabulous – we have been made so welcome and nothing has been too much trouble although Mr Peacock’s summer serenading wasn’t entirely welcome…
Serving personnel and veterans from all 3 services joined us for Rural Weeks in 2018. We had referrals form CTP, Supporting Wounded Veterans, RBLI, Step Together, the Royal Marines Charity, Mike Jackson House, Walking With the Wounded, the Poppy Factory, RFEA, White Ensign Association and Combat Stress and best of all, the number of word of mouth referrals has increased threefold since last year.
Thank-you to each and everyone who has helped us to deliver Life Beyond the Military – Outdoors.
