Following an invitation by Therapeutic Horticulture Australia to speak at their annual conference held this year in Noosa, Queensland, Anna’s presentation was titled ‘HighGround Horticultural Therapy – a personal journey from projects for veterans to a rehab intervention for injured serving personnel’.

The other keynote speaker, Amy Wagenfeld, joined online from the US where she is a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association, a faculty member in the Boston University Post Professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate Programme and a recent recipient of an Outstanding Service Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Delegates from all the states in Australia joined in person and online and those fortunate enough to be in Noosa enjoyed hinterland tours on Thursday to a community garden, Noosa Botanic Garden and a Permaculture project for veterans.
