The past week saw HighGround reach our 50th residential rural week.

From tentative beginnings at Plumpton College to a thriving relationship and base at Bicton College, we are delighted and proud to have developed a strong programme that signposts military service leavers, veterans and reservists to Life Beyond the Military – Outdoors.

With each course we are reminded why we do this – to help inform and guide those who know they want to work outdoors, rather than behind a desk, into land-based careers. The energy, enthusiasm brought to each course by beneficiaries inspires us every time. It is an honour to deliver this work and we are truly grateful to Chris Shepherd and Pete Boorn who are the beating heart of each residential week.
